The combination of spicy tuna and artichoke didn't sound great - at first. Yet, there it was on the menu at Island Cafe & Deli as the soup of the day. I tried it and loved it. It was an original recipe prepared by the new executive chef, Andy Hatley, 27.

Neapolitan pizza crust, an old saying has it, should be thin, and soft and chewy enough to fold in half, and then half again, without cracking. I didn't do the double fold the other evening at Carrella's Pizzeria, Italian Deli & Market in Sparks, but a single fold works nicely for a slice of Neapolitan-style pie topped with onions, sausage and black olives.
